Evelyn Holmes - ABC 7 Chicago
Evelyn Holmes is a general assignment reporter for ABC 7 News, the top-rated news station in Chicago. She joined the station in May 2003 from Chicagoland Television News (CLTV), where she served as a weekday morning news anchor.

Holmes has worked in Chicago broadcasting for the past 13 years. She started at CLTV as a traffic reporter in June 1996, and while there served as a weathercaster, worked as a general assignment reporter, and fill-in news anchor, as well as a weekend news anchor.

Before moving to television, Holmes was a part of both the Bob Collins and the Spike O'Dell shows on WGN Radio. Recently, she has served as a fill-in show host on WVON-AM Radio.

Holmes is a Chicago native and a graduate of Northwestern University. She is a member of the Chicago Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Holmes is involved in numerous charitable and community projects.
