Karen Jordan - ABC 7 Chicago
Karen Jordan co-anchors the No. 1 rated weekend newscast in Chicago, the ABC 7 Weekend News with Ravi Baichwal. Jordan, who grew up in Evanston, Illinois, joined ABC 7 Chicago in July 2003.

Prior to returning to her home town, Jordan was a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a main anchor and reporter at WRGT-TV in Dayton, Ohio; and a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for WKEF-TV in Dayton.

Jordan began her career in Rockford, Illinois, as a general assignment reporter for WIFR-TV.

Jordan has won Emmys as part of team coverage on breaking news stories and public affairs programming at ABC7, and has been recognized for excellence throughout her career by community organizations throughout Chicago.

When not at work, she can be found emceeing events, moderating panels, mentoring aspiring journalists and serving her community as a member of the Links, Inc., a social service organization.

Jordan is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Jordan graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, with a B.A. degree in English, and earned a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Jordan is married to broadcast journalist Christian Farr. They are the proud parents of two children. Her father, Robert Jordan, retired from WGN-TV in Chicago after decades as an anchor and reporter.
